次世代リチウムイオン二次電池用正極活物質として期待されているLiMnPO4の50~100nm程度のナノ粒子を、MnSO4のアクア錯体とLi3PO4を190℃程度で反応させることで簡便に合成できることを見出し、合成したLiMnPO4の電気化学特性を解析した結果を紹介した記事である。
