    熱吸収の異なる面を持つ薄板の先端に生じる Thermal creep flow を利用したポンプシステムを作成し,その性能にについて実験的に検討した。本研究では,薄板間の隙間の形状が性能に及ぼす影響について検討し,隙間形状の等価直径が小さいほど,ポンプ性能が良くなる傾向にあることを明らかにした。

    壁面境界にCercignani-Lampisモデルを適用すると自由分子流の領域では生じる壁面の非一様分布により誘起される流れはMaxwell型反射モデルでは生じないことが知られている。本研究では、Maxwell型反射モデルに複数の適用係数を持たせる改良を行った結果、Cercignani-Lampisモデルと同様の流れが生じることを明らかにした。また自由分子流中で壁面温度の非一様性により誘起される流れが、一般的な現象であることも明らかにした。
