<p>Japan depends on imports for almost all resources, which are supported by maritime trade. Since the shipping industry is a single global market and highly competitive, it is important to anticipate future fluctuations for stable transportation. On the other hand, existing research on time-series forecasting uses only past observations, making it difficult to predict future fluctuations more accurately. In this paper, we propose a training method of percolative learning model. We apply this method to test problems of predicting future shipping market. The results indicate that the proposed method is more accurate and effective than the conventional method.</p>

<p>従業員クチコミサイトの従業員クチコミの文章情報から「働きがい」「働きやすさ」の代替指標としての時系列スコアを生成し, 企業業績及び株式パフォーマンスとの関連性を分析した. その結果, 働きがい及び働きやすさスコアの改善は,2∼3年程度遅れて企業の成長性や収益性にプラスの影響をもたらし, 逆に企業のサステイナブル成長率の向上は,1 年程度遅れて働きがいを向上させることが分かった. また株式パフォーマンスとの関連性については, 両スコアの改善ポートフォリオは 1年程度遅れて統計的に有意な正の超過リターンをもたらし, 株式市場におけるミス・プライシングが発生していることが示唆された一方, 働きやすさのみの改善ポートフォリオでは統計的に有意な超過リターンは観測されなかった.</p>

E-books contain page images with different characteristics, it's not enough to use a single super-resolution process to achieve high-quality magnification on all pages. Therefore, this paper describes a super-resolution processing system that performs super-resolution enlargement and compression noise reduction simultaneously. Just prior to this performing, each page images are automatically classified by group and the best CNN (Convolutional Neural Network) is selected for each execution. The vast number of existing images stored at low resolution, many of them contain compression noise. It is highly desirable that these various low-resolution images be automatically converted by the system into high-quality, high-resolution images with no noise, and this system and its implementation are very practical.

<p>Genetic programming has been applied to various problems, and many derived methods have been proposed. Genetic Programming is one of the meta-heuristic methods that has to follow the No Free Lunch (NFL) theorem to improve accuracy. NFL theorem states the importance of using problem knowledge. GP with transfer learning has been proposed as methods of using knowledge. However, when this method solves a problem, it needs to select a source problem. Another approach is to use knowledge by multi-task learning, but it is necessary to solve multiple problems at the same time. In this paper, we propose a method of extracting knowledge from multiple source problems and selecting appropriate knowledge. This method uses an island model to extract knowledge, and a machine learning model to select knowledge. The advantage of this approach is the end-to-end method and that it does not require source problem selection: it automatically uses knowledge. The experimental results show that the proposed method higher rank of the test data than GP without transfer learning on average of 70 real-world regression problems. In addition, the proposed method performs as well as popular machine learning and has lower trial variance than the machine learning methods such as random forest, gradient boost, and XGBoost.</p>

<p>In this paper, we try to acquire various behavior patterns of autonomous exploration agent using several learning environments. In case of previous learning methods using a single behavior rule set, it is hard to acquire the behavior that covers all learning environments. In our method, we divide learning environments into some primitive environments whose properties differ each other, and then generate modules that are specialized for each primitive environment. To optimize behavior rules of agents, we adopt Graph Structured Program Evolution (GRAPE) which can automatically generates graph structured programs. In unknown environments, each module is switched by a program named "switcher". The switcher selects the module that acts better in a neighboring environment. Through several experiments, our method achieved higher exploration rate in unknown environments compared to simple GRAPE, random search, and the method that switches modules randomly.</p>
