    ガラス基板上にAl,Cu,Ag,Au,Feの単層および二層薄膜を形成し,表面起伏と電気,磁気特性との関係を調べた.ガラス基板上における金属薄膜の成長様式は島状成長となり,形成初期過程では不連続膜となった.その結果,電気抵抗率はバルク値に比べて非常に高くなった.膜厚の増加に伴い,膜が連続になり,電気抵抗率もバルク値に収束する傾向が認められた.収束するまでに必要な膜厚は金属材料の種類によって変化し,表面拡散が少ないことが期待される高融点材料を用いることにより,薄い膜でもバルク値に収束させることができることが分かった.低融点と高融点の金属材料を積層させ,低融点材料の濡れ性向上させ,電気抵抗率を低減させる試みも行った.また,不連続膜構造は,磁性材料の磁化値を減少させることも示した.(担当部分) 薄膜試料作製全般,形態観察一部,電気特性測定一部,磁気特性測定全般
