This paper introduces the energy dissipation constant into a two-dimensional QW model for describing the in-trinsic features of dressed-photon–phonon creation and confinement in a B atom-pair in a Si crystal. It succeeded in describing unique features, including: (a) The magni-tude of the energy dissipated from the B atom-pair took the maximum at =0.2; (b) the total dissipated energy over the whole volume of the Si crystal monotonically increased with , whereas the energy of the source of dissipation complementarily decreased; and (c) the dissi-pated energy exhibited the feature of photon breeding with respect to the photon momentum. From these fea-tures, it was confirmed that the intrinsic features of micro-scopic and macroscopic fields were successfully de-scribed in a consistent manner.

This study proposes a new scheme to solve multi-armed bandit (MAB) problems using quantum walks (QWs). QWs possess a unique property: the coexistence of linear spreading and localization. This property is utilized in various applications, but there are few examples of using it for decision-making. This paper realizes such an algorithm for MAB problems, one of the most fundamental decision-making models, by associating the two operations in a trade-off relationship: exploration and exploitation, with the coexisting behaviors of QWs. The study shows that this policy performs better than the corresponding random walk-based one.

The max-plus algebra is a semiring on Rmax = R⋁{-∞} with addition ⊕ and multiplication ⊗ defined by ⊕ = max and ⊗ = +, respectively. It is known that eigenvalues of max-plus matrices are equivalent to the maximal average weight of the corresponding directed graph. In [9], authors introduced the max-plus walk which is a walk model on one dimensional lattice on Z over max-plus algebra, and discussed its properties such as the conserved quantities and the steady state. In this paper, we will discuss the limit measure of the max-plus walk.

We attempt to simulate the energy transfer of dressed photon in the nanomaterials using quantum walks. We consider the energy in the internal region. A discontinuity of the energy in the internal region with respect to the incident quantum laser represented by unit circle in the complex plain, is shown. We obtain that if the output is maximal, then the energy in the internal region is non-linear order for sufficiently large system size.

The photon breeding process, which is used in a production process of Si-LED, can be taken as an autonomous structure optimization process lead by the dressed photon phenomena. We show an attempt to develop a mathematical model describing the photon breeding process on the basis of a steady-state quantum walk on a network. We propose a concept of a self-expansion process of the network correlating with the dynamics of the quantum walk. The concept is based on a natural extension of the BA model, which is a production method of a scale-free network, to the steady-state quantum walks.
