心理検査開発者のオーラルヒストリーから、日本の心理検査の歴史を検討した。ウェクスラー式知能検査、ビネー式知能検査、K-ABCを開発した7名のオーラルヒストリーを検討した。検査開発の動機が個人的な憧れから専門家としての責務へ変化したこと、小グループの共同作業から組織によるプロジェクトへ変化ししたこと、開発の主導は研究者主導、研究機関主導、出版社主導、協働の形式があることが見出された。

意識的過程と無意識的過程の共同が自己制御に効果的に働くことに着目し、目標表象を意識的編集に組み入れることがパフォーマンスにどのような影響を与えるか、さらに目標表象の質（ポジティブ／ネガティブ）がパフォーマンスにどのような影響を与えるかを検証した。結果、意識的編集はパフォーマンス向上に寄与するが、目標表象の質の違いはパフォーマンスに影響を与えないことが明らかになった。

日本版KABC-Ⅱ開発で統計作業を担当した服部環氏の開発者オーラルヒストリーを報告した。計算作業の実際や、問題作成における配慮、海外原版の検査を改訂する際の困難が語られた。オーラルヒストリーから、日本版KABC-Ⅱの特徴として、学習指導要領や教諭の意見を参考とした習得尺度の作成、ノルム設定のための統計作業の実際、統計作業の分業化が考察された。

オルゴール調音楽による「癒し」効果の検討を目的として実験を行った。結果、オルゴール調の音楽を聴取することで不安や緊張、いらだちを緩和させる効果があることが示唆され、これはオルゴール調音楽に特有の音色によりもたらされるものと考察された。

合成音声を修正して感情を付与することを目的として、終助詞で終わる二語文を対象に、「怒り」、「喜び」、「悲しみ」の３感情の付与を検討した。対象文を「終助詞の音の構成」、「アクセント位置」で分類し、韻律をモデル化した。次に、人間による感情音声から音声物理量の変化を取り出し、韻律のモデル化に沿って合成音声を修正した。聴取実験の結果、一定の感情付与の効果が示された。
