<p>平成21年度に科学技術振興機構の支援事業としてスタートし，全国16地域で取り組まれてきた地域の核となる理科教員であるコア・サイエンス・ティーチャー（CST）の養成事業において，認定されたCSTの活動支援の方策が常に議論されてきた．その中で，神奈川県においては，認定されたCSTを中心に自主的に活動を行う「神奈川CST協会」を設立し，大学教員と連携しながら活動継続の支援を行ってきた．自発的な活動を通して，専門職としての教員としての意識向上，CSTのあり方の検討が進んできた．自らのあり方を自ら顕彰するCST協会が地域間で連携し，議論することにより，CSTプログラムの共通化の可能性を見いだすことができる．</p>
