    希土類と3d遷移金属からなる金属間化合物-水素系を研究対象として,水素化による磁気特性と電子構造の変化を調査した.さらに系に及ぼす磁場の影響を化学平衡の面から追究した.金属水素化物の平衡水素圧の磁場による変化を測定し,そのメカニズムを熱力学的に解き明かした.さらに水素化物を電極として用いたときの磁場による平衡電位の変化をはじめて理論的に導き,実験的に確認した.
