    日本の学校における学びをLearningとは異なる実践として捉え、その実践を哲学的に考察したものである。とりわけ、日本語の構造において自己と社会の未分化な表現があることを指摘し、何かを知ることは道(Tao)につながる精神的な側面を含んでいることを述べた。そして、学校で用いられるみんなという表現が共通の経験を通して互いを知るだけではなく、自己の曖昧さを取り入れた独特のコミュニケーションの中で学びを成立させることを論じた。
