    非局在ビラジカルの電子状態に関して分子構造解析およびフェムト秒レーザー分光測定紫外可視分光・赤外分光吸収スペクトル測定,固体核磁気共鳴測定密度汎関数計算により,BDPI-2Yの基底状態付近にはエネルギー的に近接してほぼ縮退した二つのスピン一重項状態,すなわち,閉殻一重項キノイド状態と開殻一重項ビラジカル状態が存在することを明らかにし,ビスイミダゾリル誘導体は基底状態付近に開殻一重項ビラジカル状態とエネルギー的に近接して閉殻一重項キノイド状態が存在し,さらにエネルギー的に高い準位に三重項ビラジカル状態が存在し,各々の状態は熱平衡関係にあることを見出した。
