    宇宙暗黒物質の直接探索を目的に、一層式液体キセノン検出器(XMASS実験)の開発を行った。一層式液体キセノンシンチレーション検出器は暗黒物質がキセノンと弱い相互作用をしたときの反跳エネルギーをシンチレーション光として光電子増倍管で検出する。私は、90kgの液体キセノンと54本の光電子増倍管から構成されるプロトタイプの建設、データ取得、シミュレーションの開発、解析を行った。そして、宇宙暗黒物質探索に対する一層式液体キセノン検出器の性能に実験的裏付けを与えた。また、1ヶ月間の暗黒物質探索を行った結果、信号は検出できなかったが、暗黒物質と陽子の散乱断面積に対して上限値を与えた。
