東京大学大学院理学系研究科物理学専攻
窒素吸着した銅表面上に鉄を蒸着しナノスケール構造を走査トンネル顕微鏡(STM)を用いて調べた。ナノスケール構造の成長過程を原子レベルで解明した。マグネタイトの電子状態をスピン分解光電子分光(PES)を用いて調べた。この物質に特徴的なVerway転移の機構や価電子帯のスピン分解電子状態の起源について議論した。
