    磁性イオンを基底状態と磁気量子数が異なる状態へ光で励起することで、マクロな磁気モーメントを発生させることが出来る。反強磁性から弱強磁性への転移を生じるRCrO3(R:希土類金属)を採り上げ、光による磁化の制御を目指している。

    横浜国立大学大学院工学研究科
    標題の2成分系ガラスを調製し,相対強度を補正したラマンスペクトルを測定した。ピーク分離を施し,P=O結合伸縮振動強度の組成依存性から,GeO2系では加えたPO5/2成分に比例して,6配位Ge4+が生成し,SiO2系ではPO5/2を多く含むと,4,6配位Si4+が共存することを確認した。TiO2系では6配位のTi4+がクラスターを形成していることを,見出した。また,ガラス転移点,熱膨張係数に見られる極端な変化が,これら高配位した成分に起因することを指摘した。
