  研究概要：
  現在、静岡文化芸術大学で所蔵されているレオナルド・ダ・ヴィンチの構想による理想都市模型は、レオナルドの手稿に描かれた理想都市をめぐる数々のスケッチをもとに、１９５０年代にイタリアのレオナルド記念国立科学技術博物館で制作された模型と見られるものである。１９８０年代に都内私立美術館での展示の際に日本に持ち込まれて以来、武蔵野美術大学を経て、現在静岡文化芸術大学に所蔵されている。この理想都市模型はレオナルドがミラノ滞在中に経験したペスト禍に対し、衛生学的観点も含めて描かれたスケッチをもとにしており、感染症を克服するための三層の立体的な計画は近代的ですらある。本研究は、この構想及び模型の意義をめぐり、美学、美術史、文化財科学、博物館学、建築史、建築理論、都市計画学の研究者が連携し、学際的な研究を試みるものである。
