    令和元年台風19号及び台風21号(低気圧)による広域災害の被害状況・メカニズムの全容を明らかにするための調査研究を行う.ここでは,①台風・低気圧による豪雨・流出現象の気象学的解明,②広域にわたる洪水氾濫災害を引き起こしたメカニズムの解明,③多発した土砂災害・土構造物破壊におけるメカニズムの解明,④強風や高潮による被害実態の解明,⑤住民の避難行動の実態と防災情報の伝達状況の把握,の5つのテーマに焦点を絞って研究を行う.

    海岸侵食に関する問題は各地で頻発し,多くのハード対策が行われてきた.しかし,漂砂が活発となる遡上帯から沖浜帯までの漂砂体系を一体的に解析し,地形形状や底質移動特性を考慮した砂移動メカニズムの解明に関する研究は数少ない.そこで本研究ではこの遡上域から沖浜帯までを研究対象領域とし,現地観測結果に基づいた,プロセスベースの鉛直混合メカニズムの解明と検証,および前浜からバー沖側端までの底質移動の動態解明を行う.さらに,平均汀線位置よりもやや陸側に形成される堆積性地形であるバームの移動動態の短期変動と長期変動,また,汀線付近の底質との相互作用についてもそのメカニズムの解明することを目的とする.
