    アミジナート配位子を有する希土類金属錯体触媒を用いてイソプレンの重合を行うと、アイソタクチック3,4-ポリイソプレンが得られる。一方、この触媒系にアルミニウム化合物を加えるだけで、位置及び立体選択性が一変し、cis-1,4-ポリイソプレンが得られる。このように、単に触媒系にアルミニウム化合物を加えるだけで選択性が大きく変わる触媒形は存在しない。
