本研究では、租税法と刑法と金融取引法の研究者が相互の立場から、脱税や金融取引における不正をどのように規制すべきかについて米欧の類似制度を比較研究してきた。これらは、わが国では、従来、経済刑法という分野にカテゴライズされていた論点ではあるが、それほど先行研究があったわけではない。そのため、近年話題になっているパナマ文書やルックス・リークを手掛かりに、OECDのBEPSプロジェクトや、企業不正をめぐるコーポレートガバナンス、さらには証券不正までを対象にして研究を進めてきた。
