Abstract: Higher engineering education in China should not only attach great importance to the cultivation of engineering students' professional abilities; but it should also draw nutrients from the excellent tradi tional culture of China and shape students' humane spirit. Higher engineering education and the trinity philosophical cultural view, namely, “ Material Achievements - Thinking Exploration - Spiritual Attain ment" , are interrelated and mutually compatible. The logical path is as follows: starting from “ material achievements" , cultivating the habit of “ thinking exploration" , gradually achieving the goal of “ spiritual attainment" . “ Material Achievements" is the foundation among them, “ Thinking Exploration" is the key and “ Spiritual Attainment" is the inner core. Therefore, integrating philosophical thinking and humane spirit of Chinese traditional culture into higher engineering education is an effective way to improve com prehensive quality of the engineering students in an all - rounded way.

This paper proposes a new enhanced GHSOM, called sGHSOM
(Structural GHSOM). sGHSOM solves the issue of the growing mechanism used in GHSOM. We use the KDD Cup 1999 Data as the benchmark for estimating the performance of sGHSOM. The experiment results show that
sGHSOM has a higher precision than GHSOM on classification. -

The curation is the process of collecting, organizing and displaying web contents of interest by putting them into a particular context. This paper describes a series of educational practice researches aiming at exploring how curation transforms student's attitude toward learning, and what are the effects of curation learning. The authors applied a curation learning support system to each practice. Based on the results of the qualitative and statistical analysis, we discuss how curation method could contribute to our country's higher education and how the learning based on the principle of social motivation is realized by utilizing new information technology in the information and knowledge-based society.

This paper presents a new methodology in researching next-generation broadcasting. Generally a feature of next-generation broadcasting is interactivity, digital broadcasting, high definition. As for interactivity, andiences may request to a broadcasting station and using the results, he edits programs. But in recent years, a high speed network technology on a base of rapidly spreading Internet, it is possible to accumulate very large multimedia data like a video data by a technology of storage, so we suppose a new possibility of next-generation broadcasting. So this paper presents a new filming environment for a multi channel camera, and a system of transferring the obtained video data in it on high speed network, then accumulating those data in database. We design the system(MCVDB), and verify high speed network in this system, describe accumulating system on the database schema.
